Medical Standards
Candidates for admission to Sainik School should conform to the following medical standards:
VISUAL STANDARDS
(a) Distant Vision Better eye .. V-6/6 Worse eye .. V-6/9
(b) Near Vision N-5 Each eye Correctable to 6/6
(c) Colour Vision CPI (MLT)
1.Additional Medical Tests
- Height and Weight as per age norms
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Pulse Rate and Blood Pressure
- ENT Examination (Ear, Nose, Throat)
- Dental Check-up
- Skin and Scalp Inspection
2. Systemic Examination
- Respiratory System (Lungs clear; no history of chronic asthma or TB)
- Cardiovascular System (Normal heart sounds, no murmurs)
- Abdomen (No organomegaly or hernia)
- Central Nervous System (Reflexes normal, no neurological deficit)
- Musculoskeletal System (Normal gait, spine, joints, no deformity)
3. Laboratory Investigations
- Hemogram (Complete Blood Count)
- Blood Grouping & Rh typing
- Urine Routine & Microscopy
- Blood Sugar (Fasting)
- Chest X-ray
- ECG (if required)
4. Special Considerations
- No flat foot or knock knees
- No significant visual or hearing impairment
- No speech defect (like stammering)
- No past history of epilepsy, enuresis (bedwetting), psychiatric disorder
5. Immunization Record
- BCG
- DPT
- OPV/IPV
- Hepatitis B
- MMR
- Typhoid
- COVID-19 (if age-eligible)

The candidate is found Medically FIT / UNFIT for admission to Sainik School based on the above criteria.
